A series of intense Israeli strikes targeted areas of Beirut’s southern suburbs Saturday morning as Hezbollah continued considering the latest ceasefire proposal.

The Israeli military pressed on Saturday with its days-long bombing campaign targeting an area near Beirut dominated by Hezbollah, while in the country’s south, Israeli airstrikes killed two paramedics, according to Lebanon’s health ministry.

Fresh Israeli airstrikes hit Beirut's southern suburbs late Friday following a heavy bombardment in the morning. A dpa reporter said there were at least three explosions and that black smoke rose over the Ghobeiry area.
