A massive wildfire burning along New Jersey’s border with New York, leaving nearby cities shrouded in a smoky smell, is nearly contained but continues to smolder.

The Jennings Creek wildfire has burned roughly 5,201 acres, and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) said 12% has yet to be contained. The New York Air National Guard continued bucket drops on the wildfire on Saturday.

Firefighters are slowly making progress in their battle against a wildfire at the border of New Jersey and New York.
